Trailer Thursday – House of Cards


So let’s talk TV…. or at least episodic internet… House of Cards returns for it’s second season on valentine’s day. The plotting, affairs, murder and politics come just in time for the most romantic day of the year. This trailer looks like Season 2 is going to be just a crazy, twisty and dark as the first season. Although when watching the first season you had no idea what to expect, I know that season 2 will prove to be just as good.

There were so many stand out performances in season 1. They won three Emmy Awards including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (David Fincher), Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-camera Series (Eigil Bryld, Director of Photography) and Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series (Laray Mayfield & Julie Schubert). It had nine total nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series (Kevin Spacey), Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series (Robin Wright), Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Jeff Beal – Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music (Jeff Beal) and Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series (Kirk Baxter).
